Which of these Regiments is the better option (UK)?

If my son were to think of joining the Forces, which of these offers the best life? RAF Regiment; Paras; Royal Marines; RMP; Royal Anglians or one of the Guards regiments (Scots/Coldstream/Grenadier) or any other infantry regiment? Thanks in advance to anyone who knows what they are talking about.

In today's UK military, the demarcation between Units, Regiments and indeed Forces has merged and become so blurry that there is little to judge between any of the them. Members of H.M. Royal Navy are now serving in Afghanistan (explain that to an old Matelot).

Our Armed Forces are doing a great job without the full support and backing of the idiots in Westminster (the very idiots that put them in harm's way in the 1st place).
