I am such a failure career wise?

Resolved Question

I am such a failure career wise?

I feel so ashamed of myself. I am a creche supervisor but it only runs in the mornings. I also do 3 afternoons a week as a playleader for older kids which I hate. Overall, the two jobs combined don't amount to many hours. I feel so ashamed of this.
I keep looking for another part time job but nothing is coming up. I am also looking at distance learning but it is so expensive.
My boss says that he will put me on a trampolining course soon but at the moment they don't have the funding for me to do it.

I just feel so incredibly ashamed.

Why are you ashamed? What are you ashamed of? I think you're being very dramatic! There is nothing at all to be ashamed about if you are going out and working. If you packed it all in on purpose and started claiming benefits, then you could be ashamed! Then you'd be being deliberately lazy because you had a job and chose not to do it. Where's the shame in working?

  • I agree with the other person..don't feel ashamed!

I am reading a book by Duncan Bannatyne "wake up and change your life" (lol) ....one thng he says is that people with chequered career histories should consider starting their own business....What about starting your own creche? So again, forget shame but get motivated!
  • Don't think of yourself as a failure, you've worked hard enough.
