Resolved Question
Tesco customer assistant information (induction, pay and other useful stuff)?
I have got a job at tesco in hertfordshire as a customer assistant working in hardware section, im 17 (18 in about 3 months), Just wondering what the induction is about and what i should wear and if i get paid for it, and i would also like to know what the pay rate is (roughly) for and 17 year old and what it would be when im 18. i also would like to know, because its a 12 week contract, do they give me a uniform, the woman told me that she would probably hire me at the end unless i am absolutely terrible at the job, (the 12 week contract thing is only to cover themselves)
Thanks
Thanks

I worked for Tesco fve years ago on a temporary christmas contract. They did not give me a uniform but I had to wear black trousers white blouse and black cardigan as did the other temps. The induction consisted of role play and filling in forms such as health and safety around the store. They also take you for a tour around the store and this is the opportunity to help customers such as packing and guiding them to aisles for purchases.Induction is paid and is par of the training period. You may have to ask the pay range for your age which I am guessing is from £5.00.
