Resolved Question
Is it only women who work in admin?
Just finished uni and can't get a job in the respective field but a friend of mine said he can get me a job, its only a 6 month contract as a "administrative assistant", don't have a clue what they do.
But what I like about it is,
1) It is for 6 months
2) I can pay off my student debts
3) I start at 12:30 in the afternoon and finish 5 hours later at 5:30pm
4) It is a government job so big xmas party using the tax payers money
Help please

I can also do it within a law firm, because then I can move up with my degree.

When my husband was younger he was unemployed for a while, and he did some admin work in an office. It was quite easy - answering phones and doing typing / word processing, he quite enjoyed it!

- No, you need not be a woman to do administrative work, haha!
Typical duties would be: Answering phones, filing, typing, faxing, copying, etc.
A plus is that it's only 6 months, so if it stinks, it won't be forever, right? And the hours are nice! - If you're a student your hurdles can be many and varied, from Deciding on your career path to landing a temporary job. The resource in the box below has a lot of instruction for students, and they have info about job searching too.

- Looking up from my computer I can immediately see 3 men doing admin work.
I will warn you, that 90% of the people I have known on 6 month (temporary) contracts I have 'told' to leave at the end of the contract.
