I've tried ringing, they won't pick up. I really want to apply!?

Resolved Question

I've tried ringing, they won't pick up. I really want to apply!?

there is a new department store opening up locally but I don't know the exact address and I tried phoning but they say the phone lines are closed even in the afternoon at 13:30. So since they are not open to the public, how am I going to hand in my CV? But there is another one of these stores more closer to home as well.. do you think I should hand in my application to this store and ask them where the other one is? Even if I do I don't know how this will work since the store is not even open! :/

I would call into the store that is open and ask at customer services

  • All too often a Company deliberately ignores telephone calls in an attempt to determine how interested job applicants really are. I would go on the Internet, find their site, look at their employment opportunities section and email both your application and CV. explain too that your calls are not being answered.
You could also visit the new store but don't ask for Customer Services, ask for personnel. If the store is closed then visit the other one and hand in your application and CV. Don't forget your covering letter.
  • Send your application to the head office with a covering letter explaining that you have been unable to contact the store by teelphone.
  • Why not go into the local store and ask the address of the new store?

Plus, hand in your resume or application at the local store too.

  • just go into a different store and ask, or look on the internet and if there's a head office address send it there in the post.
