Part time working 4 hrs a day..am i entitled to any breaks if i work over 4 hours?

i think the minimum day is 6 hours where you can work without a break. I dont think 4 hours is enough to have a break.. i often work 6 hours before i have a break and certainly more than 4.

- I would tell them that unless I got a ten minute or so break while working there, I wouldn't be working there. I use to get worked for 6+ hours and they said breaks or lunches were "frowned upon". I quit. You aren't entitled, but if a job doesn't give it to you it's not the place to work.
- in the US there are no federal laws that says anyone other than minors in the workplace get breaks or meals periods, there are a few states that make provisions for breaks , you don't say what state you are in so no further info can be given
- your not legally entitled to any breaks because your only contracted to work 4 hours. if you were to work over that say by 2 hours you would be then allowed 10 mins,
- Here in the UK you're entitled to a break if you work over 4 hours, it's law so don't worry about requesting a break.
