I quit my job after an argument. I want to go back. What should I do?

My manager is an asshole. He keeps picking holes in my work. I told him to stop but he wouldn't. I even wrote him an email and a letter but he wouldn't stop. He's nice but verly professional. Today he contradicted my work report and I flipped out and told him where to stick his job. I filed for unemployment but they told that I wasn't eligable because I had quit my job. I was gobsmacked. I have rent and bills to pay. I'm screwed. What should I do?

I want to go back even if it's temporary.

You can only approach him by phone or physically go in and basically apologise for your actions. If he still refuses to take you back on you STILL need to keep your cool for reference purposes. I walked out on a job went back in the next day walked into my bosses office and said"is it worth me putting my boots on?" he replied no and i left it at that (lol) job was crap and low pay anyway...

• Learn to realise not everyone in life is always going to be nice to you and want to be your best friend. I would be very shocked if you were given back your job especially considering there are other people who will be lining up for the position who don't have your foul mouth.
  
  I would start looking for a new job and I would take what ever it is you can get. Even if it's cleaning toilets at KFC, otherwise you'll shortly find yourself homeless.
• I doubt you will be able to go back, but it is worth a try. If you are unsuccessful, find your nearest Labour Ready agency and sign on with them for whatever work you can find. They pay at the end of each day or weekly.

• Hmmm, difficult. Personally, I don't think you've got any chance of getting your job back, but you could try a letter of apology. It may just work.
